On April 6th, 2024, MASA is excited to bring the Red Brick Rumble presented by Cerberus Strength USA BACK to the Baptist Healthplex on the Mississippi College campus in Clinton, MS!
Featuring the Women’s weight classes of under 160 lbs and over 160 lbs as well as Men’s classes under 231 lbs and over 231 lbs with CASH PRIZES. This year we are also offering classes for Teen Women and Teen Men (13-17 years of age). Weigh ins will be the morning of the competition.
1st place: $250

(Cash prizes are only for the adult classes)

Registration is $30 for teens and $75 for adults. It is nonrefundable (included competition shirt and swag bag).
ALL EVENTS AND WEIGHTS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT ANY TIME.
A. Sandbag toss (2 lanes)
- Athletes will complete as many bags over bar as possible for fastest time.
- Bags will be 10ft in front of the yoke. Athletes will start away from the sandbags with one hand on the yoke. Athletes will throw each bag over bar from lightest to heaviest. Bag must go over the bar and time stops when the final bag hits the floor.
- All equipment is allowed except for tacky.
Teen Women:
10/15/20/25 to 10 ft
-160 Women:
10/15/20/25 to 11 ft
Teen Men and 160+ Women:
10/15/20/25 to 12 ft
-231 Men:
30/35/40/45 to 14ft
231+ Men:

B. Max 13 inch DL (DL bars, 4 lanes)
- Every athlete will have 3 attempts. There is a 30 second time limit per attempt to complete a rep once given the start command. If you miss an attempt then you’re out.
- We will have a rising bar format. Athletes do not have to complete every weight jump. 3 attempts only – weight jumps 20lbs for women, 40 or 50 lbs for men.
- Last successful attempt will count towards score.
- Athletes much have knees, hips, and shoulders locked out before the head judge is allowed to give them the down command.
- The competitor MUST wait for the down command or a no rep will be given.
- The competitor MUST follow the bar back down to the ground or a no rep will be given.
- Allowed: Belts, chalk, sleeves, wraps, straps, figure 8’s, baby powder, barefoot.
- Not Allowed: Suits, tacky, dropping from the top, sumo, baby oil/vaseline.
All classes can open at any weight of their choosing above 135 lbs.
C. Duck Walk to Sandbag Carry (4 lanes)
- Once given the start command, athletes will pick and carry the duck walk 50ft down and cross the line before being able to pick sandbag up and carry it back another 50ft the way they came across the line.
- The entire duck walk must cross the line before the sandbag can be picked, no sliding (2-second slide penalty will be applied at judge’s discretion).
- Unlimited drops.
- Time will stop once the sandbag has crossed the finish line.
- 60 second time limit.
- Distance will be measured if not completed in time.
- Allowed: Belts, knee sleeves.
- Not Allowed: Straps, hooks, tacky, gloves or knee wraps.

D. Light Axle C&P or Heavy Axle C&P TRUMP RULES (3-4 lanes)
- Athletes will have a 60 second time limit to complete as many reps as possible.
- Athletes will clean an axle to their shoulders and will press the weight overhead.
- Athletes need to clean every rep.
- A successful lift will have the competitor standing with hips through, locked knees and elbows with head through.
- If an athlete misses a press but is able to re-rack to the shoulders they can repress. Strict, Push Press, Push Jerk, Split Jerk allowed (the feet have to come back together for a down command).
- Athletes must wait for judge’s down command.
- Any number of reps with the heavy axle trumps any number of reps with the lighter axle.
- Allowed: Wrist wraps, sleeves, chalk, grip shirts, belt.
- Not Allowed: tacky, straps

E. Red Brick Record Breaker: Dinnie Hold
(2 lanes) $100 CASH PRIZE IF A NEW RED BRICK RECORD IS SET!
- Athlete will select which weight to attempt.
- Implements begin on the ground. The lifter then grips the handles either placing one on the right and one on the left side of the body; or, they may place one in front and one behind the body.
- The Lifter will then pick the implements up vertically until both are completely off the ground. The lifter does not have to be fully erect or locked out in anyway. There is a 30 second time limit to make a successful lift.
- The implements need to be entirely lifted from the ground. Hook grip is fine. The lift has ended once any part of either implement touches the ground.
- Equipment allowed: Chalk, belts, knee sleeves, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, tape.
- Not Allowed: Tacky of any sort including tacky towels, lifting straps, hooks.
Teen Women: 100/75 or 135/100
Teen Men: 135/100 or 177/141
Women: 177/141 or 257/186

- Extra shirts will be available for pre-order. $20 for toddler and youth sizes, $25 for adults (extras do not have names or logos on the back).
- We will have sizes from toddlers up to adult 5XL.

And in further consideration of permission being granted to me to participate in this event and its related events, I hereby grant Aslan Software Corporation, and/or any other approved video or entertainment organization and all of their agents successors, licensees and assigns, the right to photograph or otherwise reproduce (whether by film, tape, still photography or otherwise) my voice, appearance and name, and to exhibit, distribute, transmit, and/otherwise exploit motion pictures, video, printing or any other medium now known or hereafter devised, including with respect also to any merchandising, advertising and/or publicity, and the right to use my name and information about me in any connection with perpetuity and no further compensation shall be payable to me at anytime. Nothing contained herein shall be deemed to obligate Aslan Software Corporation, and/or any other approved video or entertainment organization, to understand that the aforementioned rights may be reassigned at any time without further consent.
